Sec Service offer support to a number of local charities and businesses.
At ORX we value the opportunity to engage in the wider community recognising our responsibility to help others when we can. We are passionate about fundraising for charities and have completed a number of sponsored events over the years.
Meadow Well Connected
In 2019, we became Patrons of Meadow Well Connected, a community hub that has been based in North Shields for 25 years. Local residents can make use of their café, community garden or joinery workshop and enjoy days out, training courses and other specialised support services. Examples of the support SEC has provided, include Operations Manager, Wayne Christie, teaching Spanish to Meadow Well’s Positive Pathways group and also arranging a fundraising charity Gala dinner at the Summerhill Bowling Club in Newcastle.
Positive Pathways project
As well as the SEC team getting involved in standalone fund-raising events, SEC Partners, Peter and John have committed to the ongoing support of the charity’s Positive Pathways project that arranges activities and events focussed on wellbeing and reducing isolation and loneliness within the Meadow Well community. The project enables those in the community to have memorable experiences, such as trips to theme parks, the cinema, theatre and other attractions. With SEC’s backing, Meadow Well Connected can now organise and deliver a wider range of activities, outbound trips and excursions, which had previously been limited due to expensive transport costs.
